The Mid-Atlantic Christian women's basketball team defeated Penn State Mont Alto 69-59 Monday evening at Chesson Gym.
The Lady Mustangs (3-6) had three players score in double figures in the win.
Cinnamon Stanfield led MACU with 15 points with five rebounds and four steals, Baleigh Lambert followed with 13 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
Kendra Campbell also posted 13 points with seven rebounds and three steals, while Imani Simmons scored 12 points.
Kara Newell scored 13 points with three assists to lead Penn State Mont Alto (3-7).
Both teams struggled shooting from the field as each were under 40 percent for the game.
MACU returns to the court Jan. 9 at Washington Adventist.
Fayetteville State 69, Elizabeth City State 59: The Lady Vikings (7-5, 2-2 CIAA) lost the league matchup at the Vaughan Center Monday evening.
Fayetteville State outscored ECSU 17-9 in the fourth quarter.
Katisha Hyman and Yakima Clifton led the Lady Broncos (5-4, 2-0 CIAA) with 18 points each.
Clifton posted nine rebounds in the win, while Aminata Johnson had13 points and four blocks.
Devona Stell led ECSU with 16 points and 15 rebounds, Jalyn Brown followed with 13 points, while Asia Deal and Naterria Luster scored 12 points each.
ECSU ended the first half shooting a respectable 46.43 percent (13-of-28), but in the final two quarters, the Lady Vikings shot a sub par 23.33 percent (7-of-30) from the field.
ECSU finished shooting 34.5 percent from the field in the contest.
Fayetteville State shot 43.5 percent form the game and made 50 percent (16-of-32) of its shots in the final 20 minutes.
The Lady Vikings return to play Dec. 30 at Bluefield State.
Elizabeth City State 62, Fayetteville State 57: The Vikings (6-7, 4-0 CIAA) remain undefeated in league play with the win against the Broncos (1-8, 0-3 CIAA) Monday night at the Vaughan Center.
Justin Faison led ECSU with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists, Joseph Allen followed with 12 points and 14 rebounds and Shyheid Petteway scored 10 points in the win.
The Vikings held an eight-point lead in the first half, while shooting 46.15 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes.
The Broncos cut the deficit to 47-46 around the nine-minute mark of the second half.
ECSU would keep the lead for the remainder of the game.
ECSU shot 44.1 percent from the field in the game.
The Vikings return to action Dec. 30 at Bluefield State.
