Mid-Atlantic Christian sweeps Christendom in basketball

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — The Mid-Atlantic Christian men’s basketball team defeated Christendom College 69-49 on Saturday afternoon at Chrsitendom College.

Tyler Hendrix led the Mustangs (7-14) with 17 points and seven rebounds. Grayson Tejeda followed with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Markel Ming posted 10 points.

The Mustangs won despite shooting a subpar 32.3 percent (21-of-65) from the field in the game.

Patrick Pennefather led Christendom (2-10) with 15 points in the USCAA matchup.


MACU 63, Christendom 58: The Lady Mustangs (7-13) edged Christendom in conference contest on Saturday on the road.

Amanda Lemons led MACU with 17 points, while Cierra Cook posted 16 points.

The Lady Mustangs bounced back from an 80-71 loss at Trinity Washington on Friday night.
