The Albemarle School volleyball team won their first conference tournament game versus Northeast Academy 25-15, 25-20, 25-9 on Tuesday at Ridgecroft School.

The Lady Colts were led by Lindsay Winslow with seven aces, five kills and a dig in the TIC quarterfinal match.

Samantha Nixon and Taylor Stallings each added an ace, three kills and a dig in the win.

Winslow, a senior, and Myra Roach, also a senior, were named all-conference performers.

The Lady Colts play Lawrence Academy this evening at 7 p.m.

Perquimans def. Manteo 25-12, 25-15, 25-22: The Lady Pirates (20-1, 13-0 Albemarle Athletic Conference) won their 14th consecutive match on Tuesday at home.

Cayce Copley led Perquimans with 17 kills, 13 digs, eight service points with an ace, Samantha Midgett followed with 10 service points, eight kills, three aces and three blocks.

Megan Denson had 16 kills, nine digs and three service points, while Gabi Corprew posted 12 digs, nine service points and two aces.

Jensen Hunter had 20 assists.

Perquimans travels to Camden Thursday.

Currituck def. Pasquotank 25-8, 25-18, 25-9: The Lady Knights won their regular-season home finale on Tuesday.

Currituck (19-3, 9-0 Northeastern Coastal Conference) travels to First Flight Thursday.

Pasquotank hosts Northeastern in its regular-season finale today.

Northeastern def. Hertford County 25-5, 25-18, 25-12: The Lady Eagles (11-10, 5-4 NCC) moved a game over .500 with the league win at Northeastern on Tuesday.
