, (AP) -- Felix Valerio singled three times as the DSL Mets2 beat the DSL Brewers 8-4 on Thursday.
DSL Mets2 started the scoring in the first inning when Endy Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly and Wilfred Astudillo scored on a wild pitch.
After DSL Mets2 added two runs in the third, the DSL Brewers cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Victor Maria hit a two-run home run.
The DSL Mets2 later added a run in the sixth and three in the seventh. In the sixth, Valerio hit an RBI single, while Jorge Martinez and Ruben Monegro both drove in a run in the seventh.
DSL Mets2 left-hander Christofer Dominguez (4-0) picked up the win after allowing two runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings. Opposing starter Wilber Perez (5-1) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game after a rough outing in which he allowed four runs and three hits over three innings.
Maria homered and singled, scoring a couple of runs while also driving home two for the DSL Brewers.
