, (AP) -- Eddy Diaz drove in Ezequiel Tovar with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, leading the DSL Colorado to a 5-2 win over the DSL Royals2 on Thursday.

The sacrifice fly by Diaz, part of a two-run inning, gave the DSL Colorado a 1-0 lead before Steven Fana scored on a wild pitch later in the inning.

Trailing 5-1, the DSL Royals2 cut into the deficit in the seventh inning when Neyfi Marinez drew a bases-loaded walk, scoring Francis Grullon.

DSL Royals2 missed an additional scoring opportunity in the seventh, when Nicolas Febres hit into a double play with the bases loaded to end the inning.

DSL Colorado starter Juan Toribio (1-1) picked up the win after scattering five hits over five scoreless innings. Opposing starter Gerson Pinales (1-3) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game after giving up two runs and one hit over one inning. Raymells Rosa retired the side in order for his seventh save of the season.

With the win, DSL Colorado improved to 6-1 against DSL Royals2 this season.
